QUALITY ASSURANCE

Raw Materials: All raw materials are certified through Red-Line laboratory analysis for compliance to the material specifications. If any quality concerns arise, production operation stops until questions are resolved. Statistical quality control charts are maintained for each supplier, each product and each property to insure consistent application performance. The tests that are performed on our products and raw materials include the following:

• Acid Number
• Viscosity of Liquids
• Specific Gravity
• Ph of Aqueous Solutions
• Hydroxyl Number
• Saponification Number
• Iodine Number
• Drop Melt Point of Petroleum
• Color Determination (Gardner Scale, A.T.H.A.-Haden Platinum Cobalt Scale)
• Solubility of Solution
• Determination of percentage of Moisture/Solids

Blending Area: All weights are double checked. Tank and drum scales are checked quarterly. Drum scale accuracy is verified each day and tank scale prior to each batch. Records of each batch are maintained and compared to insure consistency between batches.

Finished Product: All finished products are analyzed to duplicate to assure that they confirm to customer specifications and requirements. The analysis data is statistically compared to all previous similar product to detect any variability. A Certificate of Analysis is provided with each batch.
